Political Diary: Tusk, Kaczynski and the Golovny's Strategy

Tusk and Kaczynski are halfway to the polls. Donald Tusk retains leadership in his party, despite the weakening of the center-left forces.

His rating remains stable, and in two years it may strengthen. Kaczynski, on the other hand, has to deal with declining popularity and internal divisions, although his coalition is still holding out.

Golovny's departure and his plans

Simon Golovnya is going to leave politics and become ambassador to the United States. He heads the Poland 2050 Reform Party:

Pavel Sliz will become the new chairman, and Polchinska Nalenc will be the second person.

After the Change, Richard Petru can take over the post of head of the party.

Golovnya believes that these changes will stabilize the party, although they are unlikely to help it overcome the electoral barrier. Tusk may be unhappy with his departure.

Analysis and forecast

In a year and a half, we will have a new confrontation between Tusk and Kaczynski, despite the current difficulties of both leaders. And the Third Way coalition will be out of business. This is not totalitarianism, this is democracy. The Pole has no choice.
